PLEDGE to #BeTheDifference

Raising Funds for Schools in need

The IIG (Insurance Institute of Gauteng) Class of 2021 Ad Astra Tribe which translates to “through the hardships, to the stars” in Latin and Tribe Saiyan’s, meaning “warriors of change” includes 30+ dynamic young industry talents who are ready to make a valuable difference in the insurance industry.

Though the programme has been heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, the tribes continue to rise to the challenges that they are faced with. In addition to their study programme, the Class of 2021 delegates have identified schools in need of financial assistance and raising funds for a worthy cause as part of their contribution to  those in need.

The following are their motivation for your consideration.

Pledge from the Ad Astra Tribe

As part of the class of 2021, our team’s vision is to create a space where education is essential to assist the nurturing of young minds which will lead to real transformation.

Our IIG mission statement for 2021 is #bethedifference, we as Ad Astra aim to be the difference through inspiring, sharing, educating, and giving back to Fons Luminus Secondary School and its community.

We are aware that assisting the school with its identified needs will require time and for this reason has made it our mission to assist with the lack of resources and basics needs. One of the other challenges we have faced are networking opportunities during this pandemic and therefore we appreciate any pledges made to assist us in achieving our mission. This will not only be a symbol of hope, but it will also provide much-needed encouragement to the learners and teachers and will serve as a platform for continuous learning.

We are firm believers in the spirit of Ubuntu and with this same spirit, we humbly invite you to join us on our journey of hope. We seek to bring sustainable change and are excited to walk this journey with you.
