2020 Inaugural Dinner

The IIG Inaugural dinner is the second biggest event in our calendar which sees 400 delegates come together to Inaugurate the newly elected President and his council. The evening was kicked off by one of our very own Councilors who was the master of ceremonies for the evening Simphiwe Mtyali and she did an extraordinary job.

Carla Jordan was asked on to stage to perform her final duty as the 2019 IIG President and that was to present IIG Council of the Year of 2019 which went to Daphne Peter! Well Done Daphne!

Darryl Grater and Daniel Stevens were then invited onto the stage for the official inauguration of the 2020 President Darryl Grater. Darryl then shared his theme #InsuringTommorrow and Sustainability as well as how this will be accomplished throughout 2020.

Darryl then announced due to the Covid- 19 virus, the trip and replaced China with Russia and delegates will visit Delhi and Moscow. It promises to be the trip of a lifetime and the council will continue to watch the Covid-19 progress in relation to departure date.

The 2020 council was then welcomed onto the stage to be inaugurated as the official 2020 council voted in by the Industry. We look forward to #InsuringTomorrow with every single one you of throughout 2020 to ensure we use this year and the years to come to drive sustainability in our very special industry.
