In collaboration with Gauteng Women in Insurance (GWII), the Insurance Institute of Gauteng (IIG) hosted a remarkable Women’s Day event that left attendees inspired and energized. The day began on a high note with a powerful rendition of the South African national anthem, setting a tone of pride and unity.
The highlight of the event was an inspiring address by Dawn Dunn, a dedicated advocate for women in sports in South Africa. Her message emphasized the importance of creating spaces for women to thrive in traditionally male-dominated fields. Dawn’s work, which promotes the inclusion and advancement of women in sports, served as a powerful reminder that when women lead, everyone wins.
After the keynote address, the celebration moved outdoors, where the weather was perfect for the occasion. Under clear skies and warm sunshine, the ladies were escorted to an array of vibrant pop-up stands. Each station was filled with engaging activities and competitions, all reflecting the empowering theme of the day: Our Game, Our Rules.
The atmosphere was buzzing as attendees linked up with old friends and made new connections, enjoying delicious food and drinks as they mingled. The shared experiences and conversations made the event not just a celebration, but a meaningful networking opportunity for all.
