IIG Ladies Day 2018 – A Mad Hatters Tea Party

On the 8th of August 2018, the Kgotla Ballroom at the Indaba Hotel was transformed into the amazing Wonderland. We saw how the beautiful ladies transformed from their professional look to the crazy and fun Mad Hatter with all the wonderful hats and some ladies even dressed the part of their favourite Alice in Wonderland character.
The ladies started this fun day at 15h00 whereby they had to make their way through the maze into Wonderland where they then found the Tracker Photobooth, Insure Group Sweet Treat Stand and the IIG Class of 2018 “Where all Mad” games.
“Where all Mad” games that were played were: Pin the Grin on the Cheshire Cat, Have you Ever Questionnaire, What’s in Wonderland, Guess what’s in the Rabbit Hole, Pick the Wild Flowers, I’m knot Mad, It’s always Tea Time and Find Dormouse.
The winner from each game received a gift hamper worth R500.00.
We, as the IIG Class of 2018, would like to thank each lady that supported us on the day at the IIG Class of 2018 activation stand as you made it possible for us to raise R1690.00 that will go towards the AMOR South Africa house build project.

IIG Cycle for Charity – Oktoberfest Spinathon 
We did it! In the words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s – “The life of a man consists not in seeing visions and in dreaming dreams, but in active charity and in willing service”.
On the 16th August 2018, together with the IIG community and various guests – We did it! While keeping fit for 18 hours, we also raised funds for charity.
From 05:30am it was all systems go. Registrations and various crews were ready to serve and ensure that the event went smoothly.
Early bird’s including the IIG Council got the event going and throughout the day we saw various participants come in armed to cycle, have fun, network and raise funds for a good cause. The cycling continued up until the very last second and this could not have been possible without the strength, determination and spirit of our participants.
If not on the bikes guests could be seen networking over different Oktoberfest games namely: Tug of War, Roll the Barrel, a game of Pool and Foosball and further giving generously to charity.
Thank you to Guy Carpenter for the donation in sponsoring #Classof2018 on the day and also team Guy Carpenter with assisting the Class of 2018 spin for 18 hours. A challenge was set by Michael Barker & Partners and we also thank them for their generous pledge towards every kilometre covered by the Class of 2018 bike.
Massive Big ups to Daniel Stevens, IIG President, IIG Northern Gauteng, Genasys and Class of 2018, your bikes indeed went on for 18 hours. We salute you all and thank you for your amazing spirit. We can only hope that those bikes are insured after going almost more than the distance.
