We witness as The Class of 2026 continues to demonstrate what can be achieved when young professionals unite with a shared vision of growth, collaboration, and purpose. Through active participation in industry initiatives, fundraising efforts, and leadership opportunities, these emerging professionals are not only developing their own potential but are also contributing meaningfully to the future of the insurance industry.

One of the exciting highlights ahead is the upcoming Night Golf event, where the Class of 2026 will proudly host two sponsored holes. This presents an excellent opportunity for delegates to engage with industry professionals, strengthen relationships, and showcase the enthusiasm and commitment that have become synonymous with the programme. A call for donations and sponsorships towards the IIG CSI Initiative: Sawyer Water Filters, bringing filtered water into a community where clean running water is a concern.
It has been particularly encouraging to see Class of delegates attending industry events hosted by the Insurance Institute and other professional bodies. Their willingness to participate, ask insightful questions, and engage with experienced professionals reflects a genuine desire to learn, grow, and make a positive impact. These interactions are helping them build valuable networks while gaining a deeper understanding of the industry’s challenges and opportunities.
The programme extends far beyond formal learning. Through regular Class of sessions held every second month and Microsoft Teams meetings, delegates take ownership of their development by leading discussions, running their own executive committee meetings, sharing ideas, and supporting one another. These experiences cultivate essential leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills that will serve them throughout their careers.
Equally inspiring has been the delegates’ commitment to fundraising and sponsorship initiatives. They have confidently approached companies and corporate partners, demonstrating professionalism, resilience, and initiative. These experiences not only help support the programme but also provide invaluable exposure to stakeholder engagement, relationship building, and business development.
Perhaps most inspiring is witnessing the diversity within the Class of 2026. Individuals from different backgrounds, each bringing unique personalities, strengths, and perspectives, have come together with a common purpose. They are reaching inward to discover their own potential while working collectively towards something greater than themselves.
Their curiosity about the future, concern for sustainability, and passion for creating meaningful change are clear indicators that the industry is in capable hands. These young professionals represent a generation that is prepared to think differently, challenge conventional ideas, and contribute innovative solutions to the evolving insurance landscape.
As two tribes unite to form one Class of 2026, they embody the spirit of aspiring together. The insurance industry can be immensely proud of these future leaders, whose dedication, collaboration, and commitment to excellence are laying the foundation for a stronger, more innovative, and more sustainable future.
