Carla Jordan is an Executive Director and the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Executive – International of Emerald Risk Transfer. Having worked in the insurance industry since 2000, in various roles and organisations, Emerald has been her home for the past 10 years.
Carla was first appointed to the IIG in February 2015, and in 2017 was appointed as Treasurer of the institute. She was the recipient of the coveted Councillor of the Year award for 2017 and also voted in by Council as the new Deputy President for 2018.
She is passionate about driving change and transformation in the insurance industry, and was an initial co-founder of Gauteng Women in Insurance (GWII). Together with her husband Kevin, Carla also runs the charity ‘You & Me vs MND’, raising awareness and funds for others with motor neuron disease.
In her treasured spare time, Carla enjoys spending time with her young son, primarily on the sports field or running trails!
