There are 91 golf courses in the province of Gauteng and the IIG got to host its annual Exclusive Golf Day at one of the most prestigious of them all – Steyn City. This exclusive golf day is intended for executives to network and host VIP clients and business partners for some light-hearted but healthy competition.
Steyn City’s 18-hole championship golf course has become one of the most sought-after in the country, hosting two DP World Tour Tournaments and was designed by the famous Jack Nicklaus in 2015. The event would not have been possible without our main sponsors Forvis Mazars and My Glass South Africa.
Forviz Mazars is a leading global financial services provider specializing in auditing, advisory and consulting services with an insurance division specializing in financial services for Insurance firms.
We were privileged to have Forviz Mazars senior executives from Cape Town join us at the clubhouse for the prize giving dinner and enjoyed Joburg’s finest wine (Procured- from Cape Town).
My Glass South Africa is a nationwide windscreen replacement and building repair service who have partnered with various insurers as the preferred supplier of glass claims. My Glass South Africa flew in a couple of their Executives from Port Elizabeth to spend the day with us. They had a watchful eye over the 9th hole as Tebogo Kgamanyane hit a 186m shot to get 2m away from the hole, taking the closest to the pin prize.
Other prize winners included Anthony Jackson who took a near bullseye at the 12th hole with a 183m long shot on the par 3 winning the other closest to the pin prize for the day.
Longest drive of the day went to Brad Hunt who cleared the 300m mark with a monster drive off the 16th tee box.
