One Day…
A hope, a wish, a declaration. One day, when we see each other in person. This has become a synonymous line used when chatting to family, colleagues and friends over the last 18 months. A longing expressed to experience life as it was before or as it will be in the future.
It was with this trepidation that the IIG GMP Delegates attended the third block of their General Management classes on 20 – 22 September 2021. The 3-day block was set to take place at the Gordan’s Institute of Business Studies (GIBS) in Illovo, Gauteng. One of the students commented, “The entire 3 days were awesome, seeing us together after such a long time.” The in-person sessions would give the delegates an opportunity to network with their peers, as most classes and tasks have been completed virtually since the inception of the program in February 2021.
The third block was an in-depth look at Financial and Knowledge management, which will assist them to lead their teams more effectively as well as analyzing financial information in their respective companies.
The end of day 1 ended with activation in the GIBS garden which allowed delegates to work together to build a mobile marble mover which incorporated techniques and knowledge they had learned during the day, this activity also allowed them to enjoy being industry leaders as well as thinking outside the box.
Best of luck to our GMP delegates as they enter their workplaces better equipped to handle their next successes.
