With an urgent expectation of FUN, in Capital Letters, of our IIG Class Of 2024 Sports Day, held on Saturday 5 October 2024, our Insurance Industry united, connected and engaged to #linkup in support of MiDesk Global.
As the organizing team IIG Class Of 2024, our task was clear: Deliver a phenomenal sports day.
The team showed up with high quality energy. As the morning sun rose over the expanse of Gauteng, excitement was in the air, players sizing up the competition with strategies, discussions in mere whispers, hidden hand gestures and nods. The buzz of the morning and the readiness for a fun-filled yet competitive day while music set the mood, exuded good vibrations. Being outdoors was refreshing as we left winter behind, an aesthetically pleasing sunny sports day.
As the temperature was rising, players were tapping into their reserves of energy and strategy. Players displaying their magnificent skill, talent and resilience. Showcasing their top form, stamina and endurance. A reflection of endorphin filled sportsmanship. We created an inviting atmosphere for players and guests. Lots of laughter, yet the teams had an intense focus on winning.
Class of was executing our well thought out planning and celebrating MiDesk. Co-partnering and illuminating the endeavors of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng, to be socially aware and fulfilling a duty of kindness.
The IIG CSI project, once again a socio-advanced gift to blessed scholars, a true reflection of great altruism. The IIG leaving footprints and having lasting impact with MiDesk, being an innovation inspired by modern, multifunctional purposeful use.
Heaps of fun were had by all as participation was the winner. It seems that everyone’s cup was running over, no pun intended. With loud cheers, our mentor and IIG President, Bukhosi Khumalo arrived, along with the attendance of other IIG Council Members our rewards ceremony commences.
The Netball Champions; Bryte Insurance Company Limited accepted the winning trophy with a bright smile, outshining their gold medals. Silver medalists: SHA Risk Specialist. Bronze medalists: Kunene Makopo Risk Solutions.
The Soccer Champions; Kunene Makopo Risk Solutions lifting the winning trophy with a victory song and dance, proudly wearing their gold medals. Silver medalists: WTW. Bronze Medalists: iToo Special Risks.
All participating athletes received a goodie bag, making it a day where everyone felt like a winner.

The Class of 2024 stands together in accomplishment, attainment, creation, deed, effort, performance, actualization, success, triumph and victory. In fulfillment of a culmination of detailed planning and excellent teamwork. The total funds raised for MiDesk Global reflect the team’s collaboration, ordered organization and sportsmanship.
The reward in the execution of meticulous planning, meeting and exceeding standards was evident.
