The annual IIG | Glasfit Ladies Fun Golf Day took place on 13 Oct’22, where ladies from the insurance industry tested their skills on the Creek 9 mashie course in Roosevelt Park.
It was an unusually hot Spring day, or maybe the heat came from the many attempts at swinging a club, correctly…and actually hitting a ball, but thankfully the waterholes provided refreshments and nourishment to the ladies on the course, as well as some much needed golf lessons.
Activations were sponsored by Digicall, Glasfit, iToo, Sika and the IIG Class of 2022 Vela group.
After the game, Barry enlightened the ladies by informing them that a missed shot, is considered as one swing in a serious game of golf, which left everyone gasping with laughter as the missed shots were not even counted on the scorecards.
Glasfit spoiled the ladies with a delectable lunch and fun prizes were awarded to some of the teams for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place as well as Nearest to the Pin, best dressed and Sniper shot of the day. The Digicall and IIG Class of Vela Lucky draw winners were also announced, followed by an afternoon of networking.
The past two years missed out on this entertaining event but we look forward to next year’s IIG | Glasfit Ladies Golf Day.
