On 2 October 2026, industry colleagues and partners came together for the IIG & MyGlass Padel Day, a memorable event that combined friendly competition, networking, and plenty of team spirit. The day provided a welcome opportunity to step away from the office, strengthen relationships, and enjoy one of the fastest-growing sports in a fun and relaxed setting.
From the first serve to the final match, participants brought enthusiasm, determination, and good humour to the courts. While there was no shortage of competitive action, the event was equally defined by the camaraderie and positive energy shared among everyone in attendance.
After a series of exciting matches, the tournament champions emerged:
🥇 1st Place: Thabo Lethae & Johan Geldenhuys
🥈 2nd Place: David Julius & Simon Robinson
🥉 3rd Place: Sumaya M. & Sachin Govender
Congratulations to these teams for their outstanding performances and sportsmanship throughout the day. While success on the court was celebrated, the event also recognised those who contributed to the incredible atmosphere that made the day such a success.
The Best Social Team award was presented to Emile van Zyl & Quentin van Wyngaardt, whose enthusiasm and ability to bring people together embodied the true spirit of the event.
No IIG & MyGlass gathering would be complete without a few fun awards, and this year’s spot prizes highlighted some of the day’s most memorable moments.
