To celebrate Youth Day the IIG, in collaboration with Insurance Young Guns (IYG) and Discovery Vitality, hosted a digital cook-along class on the 24th of June 2020. The class was led by internationally acclaimed and renowned Executive Chef Dereck Nair.
Chef Nair has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry and draws from a wealth of knowledge gained in numerous countries and types of operations ranging from classical fine dining hotels and restaurants to executive corporate hospitality.
On the menu for the evening were some delicious hot curry dishes accompanied by naan bread for these cold winter nights.
The IIG delegates and their families joined in for the fun. The recipes were easy and a great way for everyone to get involved.
All the proceeds from the event went towards the IIG Academic Programme. We hope the event has inspired some future chefs.
