Diversity & driving positive outcomes are key in Leading through uncertainty… This was the message from Kuseni Dlamini addressing insurance industry leaders at the 2021 IIG (Insurance Industry of Gauteng) CEO Roundtable which took place on the 7th of October 2021.
#YourIIG hosted VIP CEOs,’ Insurer Principles and MDs in the industry to engage in the thought leadership topic. Our IIG President Tshepiso opened the proceedings effortlessly and welcomed delegates to the much anticipated annual CEO Roundtable.
Nico Conradie, CEO of Munich Re of Africa, sponsored the event, received all delegates and emphasized the importance of these meaningful conversations during these relevant times.
Lebohang Masango, a PhD candidate who has earned her Master of Arts degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Witwatersrand and award-winning poet then formally opened the proceedings with a beautiful poem that encouraged African Leaders to rise to the challenges that our land faces by demonstrating their commitment to stand up for Africa. African leaders must rise to the challenges of our times step into the arena and enact radical change.
Our keynote speaker Kuseni Dlamini (Chairman of Massmart) then shared a 45-minute note that included both his personal and strategic insights concerning the imperative topic. He encouraged leaders to come to terms with the challenges that Africa faces but more importantly use their influence and courage to raise the scale of ambition in Africa.
