We are excited that with just over 11 weeks left to travel to London and Oxford. This year have over 25 people from 3 provinces in South Africa, as well as additionally 4 countries in the SADC region traveling with the group.
In the coming weeks, we will be sharing more information about the delegates and the businesses they represent traveling for the Ultimate Networking and Educational Experience arranged by the IIG. Gratitude goes to all businesses that are sending people for this experience and all individuals who are giving their time to experience the beauty, culture and learning of these iconic cities with the IIG.
We have three editions to complete the schedule at this stage and these are:
– Munich Re – in this session we will interact with their Pandemic and Epidemic Risk Solutions team. Munich Re is a leading reinsurer on the global landscape having been around since 1880 and operating in more than 160 countries.
– Airfinity – founded in 2015, Airfinity is a business that tracks, simulates and predicts population level disease outcomes in real time to inform decisions that can increase the global life span. This session will be joined with the MunichRe one to get an expert opinion from professionals who deal with this subject matter on a daily basis.
– Ki Insurance – was the largest insurtech start up in 2020, and today holds an industry defining position as Lloyd’s first fully digital and algorithmically powered syndicate. In its first year the business underwrote more than US$400m Gross Written Premium, which they more than doubled in our second year of trading. It was founded in 2020 and is part of the Fairfax Group. Ki currently remains the largest seed stage fundraise for any insurtech globally to date.
