We caught up with Tshepo Lebeko, Senior Systems Engineer at Sasria SOC Ltd. Here’s what he had to say.. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What is your favourite travel childhood memory?

I was probably 14. My mother took myself, sister and late cousin to Bela Bela. We drove from the Eastrand. Everything about it touches my heart to date. We had a blast as a family. My mother let me drive her car back from the Bela Bela. Without a licence nor learners so that was cool.

 

What is your favourite holiday destination?

I honestly do not travel much but for the places I been to, Cape Town takes the spot. The place is beautiful and clean.

 

What is the best way to sleep on a plane?

I have only been on a plane once when I went to Cape Town. I was excited, anxious and terrified to just sleep. I was awake pumping music on my phone and checking the clouds out.

 

What is your top travel tip?

Make sure you focus on enjoying and making the most of the place. Minimise updating your social media account every second.

 

What do you like to do while travelling?

–   Read travel blogs about that area

–  Make friends with local

–  Capture memories and take their public transportation

 

What travel gadgets are you taking with you on this tour?

My Camera, Mobile phone and iPad Probably.

 

What are you looking forward to the most on this trip?

I really hope IIG gets us a visit at the Silicone Valley. I work in I.T and that place is a dream for any person in the Technological space to go to.

 

Tell us something fun about yourself that most people don’t know?

I Love Art. I Love attending Musical Concerts. Been to Kanye West, Big Sean and J Cole concerts when they were this side.

 

What is the one thing that you cannot travel without?

My mobile phone I guess.

 

What country has the best food?

I have never been outside of South Africa so I guess the Country that I only know, South Africa.

 

Have you ever gotten lost while travelling?

I did get lost in Cape Town. I was looking for Longbeach and ended up at the Cape Town Convention centre.

 

What other destinations are on your bucket list?

1. France – The Eiffel Tower to propose whoever I’m ma marry
2. Brazil – To meet the girl I’m ma marry
3. Mauritius
4. China – To see the great wall of China
5. Italy
6. Germany – Need to visit VW and Bugatti headquarters

 

How will u be putting the SA in the USA?

By being myself. A South African. No one can do me better than I can.
