Joining the Class of program has undoubtedly been the most defining experience of this year. Reflecting on where I was at the start of the program to where I am now, has been an experience of transformation and growth.
From the very first class, I knew I was exactly where I needed to be.
At the time, I was facing numerous challenges and the topics we began with— personality profiles— personal branding and — tribal leadership, were nothing short of transformative. They opened my eyes to new ways of thinking, helping me to refocus on the kind of brand and identity I wanted to create for myself.
This program wasn’t just about professional development; it became a catalyst for profound personal growth. The teachings resonated deeply with me and began to affect how I approached both my professional and personal life.
Among the many valuable insights I’ve gained, a few stand out as particularly powerful. First, the importance of collaboration. Working with others, tapping into collective wisdom, and recognizing the power of teamwork has been invaluable. I’ve also learned the necessity of having courageous conversations—something we explored in the “LEAPS” module – Listen, Empathise, Analyse, Problem solve, Solution.
Emotional intelligence, in particular, has been a game-changer. Understanding my emotions and learning how to navigate them has improved not only my interactions with others but also my self-awareness. Being able to engage in difficult discussions with clarity has been one of the most important skills I’ve developed.
Through the Class of program, I’ve gained a much deeper understanding of my strengths while also identifying areas for improvement. More importantly, it has given me the confidence to embrace new perspectives and cultivate a growth mindset. I am grateful for everything I have learnt including networking and being surrounded by industry moguls throughout this program. It has been an inspiring and enriching experience.
One of my biggest takeaways from this journey has been the concept of leading with purpose. This program has empowered me to not only seek success but to strive for meaning in everything I do. Approaching leadership with a greater sense of responsibility and a clear understanding that true leadership is about inspiring, empowering, guiding others with authenticity and integrity.
The Class of program has been an incredible journey. As I move forward, I carry with me the lessons of collaboration, courageous conversations, emotional intelligence, leading with purpose and much more. This experience has been nothing short of transformative. I am truly excited to continue building the brand and the life I aspire to create, with the insights and knowledge gained from the IIG Class of program.
