With the year nearing its end, the IIG Class of 2022 -The Vela group had a class session on the 15th of September 2022 at the IIG offices in Sandton, the room was filled with energy, excitement, and drive. One of the highlights of the day, was the Leadership talk by guest speaker, Jade Jensen. Jade is the MD of Fulcrum SA. An MD, a mom, and a wife are only some of the titles that Jade holds. She shared her views on leadership and also her career thus far with the Fulcrum group. She took the class on a trip down memory lane, giving them a glimpse of her personal as well as professional life, she spoke of the sacrifices made to accomplish what she has become and where she is today. She made a point of emphasizing that opportunities, when they come your way should be embraced.
The class was so engaged and inspired by her journey and loved the fact that it was authentic and each class member could relate.
Its been a fun interactive year for the Vela group, one in which many of the class had new experiences and opportunities, many industry relationships were built during class sessions, after class sessions and the fun events that have taken part over the last 8 months.
